The farm shop

The farm shop is open in spring and summer season. Check our Facebook page for current information and latest news. Feel free to come by to buy cheese or other delicacies made on the farm. Eat pizza from a wood-fired pizza oven. Enjoy the view of Såto, the highest mountain on Tysnes, from the lounge bench on the terrace. Play a little volleyball in the sun, or just run around on the field. The farm shop is the perfect place to charge for a hiking-trip or rest after a hike.

Myrdal Gård is the starting point for many hikers to Tysnes Såto. The sherpabuilt stairways starts from the farm and quickly takes you up to the top in approx. 1.5 hours. It is also possible to go up to the mountain from the west side, over pastures and through the forest. Lake Myrdal is only a five minutes' walk from the courtyard and is a lovely place to swim.

You can also look in through the window of the cheesery where we make cheese approx. five days a week, or book a tour into the cheesery with cheese tasting afterwards (only possible in summer when the farm shop is open).

In our farm shop we have self-produced products such as cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, cheesecake, eggs, meat and fresh baked goods. We also sell jam, juice and sausages from other local food producers as well as lots of other exciting goods.

We serve coffee and juice, make sandwiches with Myrdal cheese and delicious pizza from a birch wood-fired oven that can be eaten on the farm or taken away. We have seating outside and some tables inside the farm shop. We recommend booking from 6 people or more. Feel free to order pizza in advance, even if it only takes a few minutes to make.
